PartScan is a leading provider of vehicle homologation and regulatory compliance solutions, backed by over 20 years of industry expertise. Our secure, AWS-hosted platform enables customers to manage brake parts, materials, and brand portfolios with confidence and control.

We offer VCA-approved, multilingual fitting instructions and complete vehicle application listings—automatically updated via QR codes to ensure ongoing accuracy.

Committed to sustainability, our paperless approach saves approximately 10 tonnes of paper, 125 trees, and 200,000 litres of water for every 1 million axle sets shipped.

UNECE Regulation 90

A change in R90

UNECE Regulation 90 is the international legislation that governs the performance and conformance of aftermarket brake parts.

According to the legislation, it is required to provide the consumer with a set of fitting instructions to ensure correct and appropriate installation of the certified components.

It is also required to identify a range of vehicle applications for which the component in question is tested and certified.

In 2024, UNECE Regulation 90 was changed to allow manufacturers to remove wasteful paper fitting instructions from every box, and vehicle application lists from every label, providing the consumer has access to an online system which details this information.

QR codes (or Quick Response codes) provide quick access to detailed installation instructions and vehicle fitments when scanned with a smartphone.
